A practicing orthodontist
since 1980, Dr. Craig
Coombs prides himself
on offering the same
orthodontic and personal
care to each and every
patient that he would
offer his own family.
In addition to the years
of experience he brings to his practice, he is among a
small percentage of orthodontists worldwide who have
passed the rigorous academic and clinical requirements
to become board certified and is a Diplomate of the
American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Coombs grew up locally and graduated from
Bonneville High School as Class Valedictorian.
He completed his pre-dental education at Brigham
Young University, graduating magna-cum-laude.
He attended dental school at Pacific University
in San Francisco, graduating in top of his class.
While there Dr. Coombs was inducted into the
TKO and OKU National Dental Honor fraternities.
He received his Specialist in Orthodontics certificate
from the University of Oregon Health Science Center
after completion of a two-year residency
program there.
Dr. Coombs is a member of several professional
organizations including the American Dental Association,
the American Association of Orthodontists, and the
Wasatch Orthodontics Study Club. He presently serves
on the Board of Directors of the Utah Association of
Orthodontists.
Dr. Coombs and his wife, Rita, have five children and eleven
grandchildren. He has a daughter who is a dental hygienist, a son who is in dental school, and a son who is an orthodontist in Alaska. In his spare time, he enjoys water skiing,
snow skiing and spending time with his family.
